What happens during my Polynucleotide treatment?

On the day of your treatment your clinician will go through your consent form and medical history before treatment.  Some clinical photographs will be taken of the treatment area before and after treatment. Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed prior to treatment. A numbing cream may be applied to the area to be treated beforehand. Then polynucleotides are injected in micro-doses into the superficial layer of the skin, either with a fine needle or cannula. You will be lying down during treatment.

A course of three or four treatments, 3 weeks apart is recommended to achieve optimum results.

Who is Polynucleotide treatment suitable for?

While Polynucleotides are generally suitable for most individuals, they are not recommended for everyone.

Polynucleotides are suitable for both men and women aiming to rejuvenate the skin without adding volume.

Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals are generally advised to postpone Polynucleotide treatments.

Our clinician will take a detailed medical history to ensure you have no conditions that might increase risk of unwanted side effects, consultation is also important to discuss your expectations and whether Polynucleotides are right for you. We prioritise your safety and will provide personalised recommendations tailored to your unique needs and skin conditions.

How do Polynucleotides work?

Polynucleotides stimulate a receptor on cells which positively influences the following:
●  Cell proliferation and regeneration
●  The repair and regenerative actions of fibroblast cells
●  The production of collagen and elastin
●  The production of hyaluronic acid
●  The production of healthy new micro-blood vessels
●  The function of melanocytes which produce pigment.
●  They reduce inflammation
●  Regulate water balance
●  Regulate the formation of fat cells
●  Regenerate hair follicles

The use of polynucleotides in regenerative medicine is well established in tissue repair, following traumatic injury or surgery.

Does Polynucleotide treatment hurt?

Treatment can be uncomfortable.
A topical anaesthetic cream can be applied before treatment to numb the skin. Discuss this with your clinician before your treatment appointment.

Are Polynucleotides safe?

The polynucleotides we use at Dr Bryant Aesthetics are highly purified and then sterilised from a licensed source. The production is regulated and the manufacture meets required CE standards of safety. All the protein molecules are removed, so there is no risk of allergy. The science is evidence based and there are multiple published scientific papers demonstrating safety and efficacy in medicine, for the treatment of tissue injury and also in aesthetic medicine. There are no known risks associated with the injection of exogenous (Non-self) polynucleotides. Your clinician will explain the temporary side-effects you may experience associated with injection.

What results can I expect form Polynucleotide treatment?

Improvements are gradual, becoming noticeable around three weeks and peaking at twelve weeks. You may experience smoother, better-hydrated skin with improved texture, reduced fine lines and wrinkles and lessened scarring (depth, size, and colour). For hair loss, expect new hair growth and healthier existing hair.

Individual results vary depending on biological response and lifestyle factors. True results take several weeks as new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid are stimulated within the skin.

How long do results last following Polynucleotide treatment?

The longevity of Polynucleotide results varies from person to person. Polynucleotides don't halt the natural ageing process but stimulate your skin's natural renewal process. To maintain these benefits, maintenance sessions are typically recommended every six months. It's important to remember that lifestyle factors also influence how long the effects last. If you choose not to continue with maintenance treatments, your skin will gradually return to its pre-treatment condition over time
